This fun 2 day workshop which will expose many secrets to machine embroidery as well as provide inspiration to all your future projects.
Techniques taught: Creating stitched cloth, Embossing with thread, lace making, beading, braid making, 3D embroidery, stitching on water soluble fabric, cable,whip & feather stitch, thread painting, stitching tapestry & waste canvas.

Nell Burns
Nell has been stitching in some form or another since childhood. She completed her HND and BA Hons in Fashion and Textile Design in the UK and during this time developed her love of machine embroidery.
In the Summer of 2005 she completed her City & Guilds Level 3 Machine Embroidery Course which helped her to take her playing and experimenting to a higher level. Shortly after completing her City and Guilds she moved from the UK to Vancouver and now to the Sunshine Coast where she continues to develop her design work and creativity, while finding new and abundant sources of inspiration. As a member of the Vancouver Guild of Fibre Arts and North Shore Needle Arts guild (President from 2008-2010), she has kept in touch with current products, artists and issues in the fibre world.
